Network Security Firewalls and Proxies is needed in securing the network. Access from the outside network to the internal corporate network needs to be limited. Firewalls are used to the concept of using a computer as a separator internal network and public network or the Internet.

The safest condition is close access between two networks, i.e. by abolishing the function IP forwarding on the gateway computer that separates the internal network and the Internet earlier. However, this also meant the closing of access to the Internet for all computers on the internal LAN. To that end, the computer that serves as a firewall also provides a special function called a proxy.

Therefore, the IP address provides the full address of a host and network address where the host is located.

 

 

Repeaters work regenerate or amplify the incoming signals. On physical media such as Ethernet, quality of data transmission can only survive in a range of time and limited range, which further degraded. Repeater will try to maintain signal integrity and prevent degradation to the data packets to the destination.

Actually, the network devices that work like a repeater, such as active hubs, often called “multiport repeaters”.

The weakness of the repeater, the device can not perform filter network traffic. Data (bits) that goes into one port repeater sent out through all ports. Thus the data will be scattered into LAN segments without taking into account whether the data is needed or not.

Repeater is a tool that serves to expand the reach of WiFi signals that have not been covered by the signal from the server in order to capture the WIFI signal. Repeater devices have two tools, namely, to receive signals from the server (Client) and to redistribute the Wifi signal (access point).
